Walt's TIP'S XJS INSTRUMENT LIGHT IMPROVEMENT As Kirby has stated, if you remove the green plastic covers on the instrument lights you will improve the lighting system. I took this idea and improved on it, by using a different size
bulb in the system. What I found, was that the stock lamps If you want to use this lamp, you have to have the white plastic part, separated from the black part, because the lamp, is too big to go in from the back. However, with the 2 parts separated, you can put the lamps in from the front. You will need to hold the lamp sockets from the back as you insert the lamps, for, as you are applying pressure, the sockets may want to be pushed out of their position in the white housing.
