1951 3.5L MKIV Saloon
Malcolm Philpott owns this nice example of a 3.5L Mk IV Saloon which as you can see suffered a potentially disastrous under-bonnet fire (electrical sparks and petrol leaks do NOT mix!) recently. Happily the car is now back into its previous pristine condition. Malcolm's car was a barn find in Wales just before 1990 with 34,000 miles on the clock. Restoration work between 1990 and 1994 which retained the original interior and woodwork put it back on the road with 34,202 miles recorded. Malcolm purchased the car from a dealer in May 1997 with 34,883 miles recorded. Malcolm has since recorded another 1500 miles and hopes to avoid further contact with the Fire Brigade..
