150 Rear Seat Trim

150 Rear Seat Trim

I am interested to hear if someone could help me with a question about the proper trim on the small auxillary seats in a 150 DHC. I have heard two different opinions - one, saying that the small seats in the back ( and the two removable back rests ) should be in LEATHER ( same as the front seats ) and another one saying that Jaguar saved a buck here by trimming them in vinyl. Anyone with an original car that could give me the true answer? Or perhaps there is not just ONE answer - could it be optional? The car I have has leather in the front seats - but vinyl on the back seats and small back rests. Regards - Claes G Boregard, XK150 DHC

My XK150 S DHC July 59 was leather for the back seats. I have never heard of vinyl there, but we all know that means very little! - Regards, John Elmgreen
