XK150 washer bottle

XK150 Washer Bottle

All: I'm sorry if this subject has been discussed and I failed to save the answer, but what are the dimensions of the 150 (late coupe) washer bottle? - Thanks, Bruce Baysinger

The 150 washer bottle is C 10127/2 for all models, see parts book at Plate 78, and Vol 1 at page 423. Same as Mk 1 and Mk 9. Roger Payne's measurements were nominal 7" high x 4-7/8" diameter, all seem to have TRICO etc. moulded into side of jar, and all with flat type lid with vacuum unit suspended underneath lid. - Regards, John Elmgreen

John: Thanks, John. I am doing a little freshening up under the bonnet of my 150 FHC and will be asking these niggling little questions from time to time. I appreciate being able to tap into that fantastic pool of knowledge that exists at your end. - Regards, Bruce Baysinger P.S. The Broad catalogue states that the 3.8 two carb heads were painted a metallic blue. Correct

Hi John Elmgreen & all -- John, you've EXACTLY described the windscreen washer bottle in my original Mk IX, 792817 BW -- just to confirm that the 150 bottle also went into the Mk IX. Take care -- Larry Martz

Gee Larry, I thought all of them were old pickle jars! Even my 54 Buick has one. - jagman

Cordell Newby (US 509-662-7748) is offering XK-150 (all models) and XK-140FHC washer bottles for $35 ea. For that price, maybe he's throwing in the pickles!? - Regards, Mike Carpenter

Mike: Thanks for the tip. - Bruce Baysinger

To all, I called Cordell today and sorry to say, he does not have FHC bottles, but only the larger OTS and DHC jars. - Regards, Klaus ...still looking... Nielsen

Cordell Newby is a good source of parts, including good NOS - Larry J
